Vehicles & equipment

Find what you need, across your sites.

See vehicle and equipment locations on one map. Use site groups, filters and fast searches to find what you need, check its last reported location and coordinate movements between jobs.

Give your team a clearer view of what is available before arranging another hire or moving equipment from elsewhere.

Keep track of the equipment that goes with you.

Small Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tags help locate tools and equipment when they come within range of suitably equipped tracked vehicles. See where an item was last detected and when, giving your team a starting point before searching for it or arranging a replacement.

Follow equipment from site to site.

Track assets such as screed pumps with robust, waterproof tracking devices. Check their reported location and review movements between jobs, helping your team locate equipment, coordinate its next use and investigate unexpected activity.

BLE proximity detection

Last detected location and time, when a tag comes within range of a suitably equipped tracked vehicle.

See what’s working. Find what’s sitting idle.

Quickly see how long it has been since each item of equipment was last used. Identify underused assets and check what is available before arranging another hire or purchase.

Combine utilisation with location to help move equipment where it is needed and make better use of what you already have.

Site productivity

Understand the time spent on site.

See which vehicles are on site and, with Driver ID, who is using them. Check arrival and departure times, when the ignition was switched off and how long an engine remained idling.

Where supported, CAN bus data can show when individual doors were opened, adding context to vehicle activity. Bring these details together to investigate delays and understand how the working day is being used.

Find fuel use that serves no purpose.

For one customer, we built a report specifically around scheduled break times. It highlighted vans and plant left idling during breaks, helping the customer identify avoidable fuel use when on-site break facilities were available.

Tell us what you want to understand. We can tailor reporting around your site routines and the questions your standard reports leave unanswered.

Know when vehicles are used outside the working day.

Set alerts around working hours and site boundaries to flag unexpected vehicle use or movements. Review journeys and Driver ID to understand who was using a van, where it went and whether the activity was authorised.

For plant and tracked assets, get notified when equipment leaves a defined site boundary, so your team can investigate.

Driver ID & checks

Know who’s driving. Control who can start.

Identify who is driving each van, even when vehicles are shared between teams. Connect journeys and driving events to the person behind the wheel.

For plant, Driver ID using keypads, Dallas keys or other supported options can be linked to a starter cut, requiring an authorised ID before the machine can be started.

Make checks fit the equipment.

A van and an excavator need different checks. Management can create forms with simple drag-and-drop tools, choose the checks required for each vehicle or machine and set the order operators complete them in the roadstream app.

Video & AI

Your name is on the van. Get the facts behind a complaint.

Vans travelling to and from construction sites, particularly new-build developments, can attract complaints from local residents. When your branding is on the vehicle, an accusation of poor driving quickly becomes a concern for your business.

Connected video helps you establish what happened, defend your driver when a complaint is unfounded and address behaviour that falls below your standards.

Look for the site activity that matters to you.

Use server-side AI to review footage from cameras fitted to plant, looking for situations relevant to your operation. Combine video with signals such as reversing, ignition status or location to focus the review on when and where it matters.

From missing high-vis clothing or helmets to people near operating machinery, we can configure checks around your requirements. Optional human-in-the-loop review adds context and reduces noise, helping your team focus on actionable findings.
